Packaging 4.0 Open House at Lengerich 10 – 11 June 2015W&H to debut its Miraflex S compact pressWindmöller & Hölscher will use its forthcoming Packaging 4.0 Open House event to debut its new Miraflex S compact press and show its capability to produce high quality prints for short production runs. This compact press shows its high quality print for short production runs. Launched at the start of the year, Miraflex S has expanded this Windmöller & Hölscher product range as it is an 8-color press available in widths of 640-820mm. The Open House, taking place on 10 and 11 June 2015, will showcase several new flexible packaging solutions. At the Packaging 4.0 event, a Miraflex CM 10 will show an example of printing with high ink coverage and massive drying and new modules to improve print quality will be introducedUnder the banner Packaging 4.0, intelligent, intuitive and integrated technologies will be shown with a live demo of the packaging solutions. This will include demonstrations of three flexographic and one gravure printing presses. A Vistaflex CL 8 will show the printing of diaper film at a speed of 800 metre a minute with in-line slitting. The highly effective Easy-Check C system automatically measures color quality during production operations. A Miraflex CM 10 will show an example of printing with high ink coverage and massive drying and new modules to improve print quality will be introduced.
A Heliostar S will demonstrate the newly designed Heliocontrol Advanced sensor technology and demonstrates its register accuracy for both inks and coatings The press will run a thin packaging film printed at speeds of 500 metre a minute.
Other demonstrations at Packaging 4.0 will include extrusion on blown and cast film lines representing a snapshot of current tends in film production – Aquarex, Varex II, Optimex and Filmex. W&H will also show the process of turning the film to useable packaging which include AD PLASTIC 2, a valve bottomer for film valve sacks; and POLYTEX, a tuber for film that will be shown producing highly complex tube constructions with venting and embossing used for special applications.
