Bhiwandi-based Winways Digitech, a leading player in India’s digital label printing sector, has strengthened its finishing capabilities with the installation of Vorey VD320F Digital Label Finisher from New Print Solutions.

Founded in 2017, the company entered the label printing business in 2021, leveraging digital technology to provide premium product labels and short-run packaging solutions. According to Kartik Shah, director of Winways Digitech, the company’s focus has always been on adopting advanced digital technologies that enhance both productivity and product quality.

We have continuously invested in advanced printing and finishing equipment to meet the growing expectations of our customers. Our portfolio already includes Konica Minolta’s AccurioLabel 400 and two finishers from New Print Solutions, which help us in providing label solutions to our customers with speed and consistency,” he says.

Having already worked with the Vorey VD330 Digital Label Finisher, Winways Digitech’s decision to invest in the VD320F was driven by the machine’s flexibility and upgrade potential. “While we were pleased with our experience using the VD330, the evolving demands of the industry and our customers prompted us to look for a digital label finisher that offers greater flexibility,” says Shah.

The Vorey VD320F not only meets our day-to-day operational needs with both half-cut and full-cut label options but also provides the opportunity to enhance its capabilities with additional features in the future,” he says.

With the addition of the VD320F, Winways has broadened its scope of label applications. The company serves a wide spectrum of industries, including FMCG, cosmetics, health and wellness, food & beverages, and industrial products.

The VD320F enables us to serve the growing demand for in-mold labels as well as customers who require individual label pieces,” explains Shah. “Its ability to deliver precise half-cut and full-cut finishes enhances our flexibility and allows us to meet diverse customer needs with superior quality and consistency.”

He says the positive experience with New Print Solutions concerning the two finishers and the KM AL400 digital label press gave them the confidence to expand their equipment portfolio with the VD320F. “Considering the service reliability and the efficiency of the machines, it was an easy decision for us to continue with New Print Solutions.”

Demand for short-run digital labels

Reflecting on market trends, Shah notes that the demand for short-run and customized digital labels in India is witnessing rapid growth. “Brands today are seeking flexibility to produce smaller batches, test new designs, or offer personalized packaging, which traditional printing methods cannot efficiently support,” he observes.

Digital label printing allows us to meet these evolving needs with speed, precision, and cost-effectiveness. We expect this trend to continue, with more businesses adopting digital solutions to respond quickly to changing consumer preferences, seasonal campaigns, and limited-edition products,” he adds.

Strengthening capacity and growth plans

This investment aligns with our broader growth plans of reducing turnaround time and enabling quicker delivery of innovative, customized label solutions,” Shah explains. “The VD320F meets our current finishing requirements while allowing us to respond efficiently to the evolving needs of our customers.”

By expanding its finishing infrastructure, Winways aims to strengthen its end-to-end label production workflow, from digital printing on the AccurioLabel 400 to finishing with the latest VD320F.
