The importance of selecting the right rubber compound for specifi c applications and the need to have quality steel bases to achieve optimum printing quality and to minimize wastage was explained in detail during the day-long session. The seminar was held over two days and had a lot of converters in attendance. The customers had the opportunity to see the high quality parameters and process that Rossini world over follow while producing roller and sleeves. The highlight of the day was an open session where all the converters could discuss the issues faced on the shop fl oor and come out with solutions for the same. The common problems faced on due to poor quality of roller and sleeves and solutions to resolve the same were also discussed at the seminar.
Ashvin Hebbar, sales director, Rossini India said that the main purpose of the seminar was to educate our customers the real importance of rubber roller and sleeve in printing and laminating. Most often rollers are the most neglected things in the printing and converting industry—giving due importance to it can solve many problems in printing and can bring down downtime and increase productivity by a big margin. It is the combination of having a high quality steel base with the right rubber compound that will give the best desired results. “We have received very positive feedback from customers on such an initiative and surely we will be organizing many more such technical session in the future,” concluded Hebbar.
