Lucky Graphics, a leading supplier of printing products for over 40 years, highlighted the portfolio of its partners Tsukatani and Toyobo at Labelexpo India 2024. Lucky Graphics’ stand highlighted Tsukatani’s flexible pinnacle die, steel-cutting rules, and business form tools for cutting continuous business forms.

The company showcased the photopolymer water washable flexo plates from Toyobo, which according to Rohit Sachdev, the proprietor of Lucky Graphics, has become increasingly popular in recent years because of its sustainability quotient.

Sachdev said, “Water-washable photopolymer processors are one of the most environmentally friendly ways to create plates in the industry because they are solvent-free and reduce VOC (volatile organic compounds) emissions during the entire printing process.”

Water-washable photopolymers utilize tap water instead of the typical solvent, allowing the water used during the washout process to be recycled and recirculated back into the system for reuse.

These plates are ideal for printing on flexible packaging materials such as plastic films, aluminum foil, and paper. The plate is preferred for printing high-quality food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical labels. It is also used for print on corrugated boxes used in packaging and shipping.

The pinnacle die from Tsukatani is designed to meet the exacting standards of customers across industries, from flexible packaging and labels to printing and medical applications. “We are working for technology. We are here to upgrade the customer experience and make them stand on a global platform,” Sachdev said.

The steel cutting rules, particularly their label rules, highlighted at the stand are known for their quality and precision and are designed to provide clean, sharp cuts for a variety of materials, especially in labeling and packaging applications.

Talking about the industry, Sachdev said, “Rather than a commodity-based industry, it’s more of a technology-based industry. The machines are important, but the parts are what makes them different and the machine of international standard.”

“Many new products are coming into the market in packaging, labels, and other segments. And being a technology-based industry, it will always grow as new technology will always be in demand and we will be here to provide it,” he said.
