Asian Organics, a manufacturer and supplier of high-grade water-based inks, showcased its products at Printpack India 2025. The Delhi-based provider is focusing on sustainable packaging — trying to decrease the carbon footprint in inks with water-based solutions.

According to Akshay Saxena, managing director, the 25-year-old company provides full consultation to manufacturers of flexible packaging (using PVC or LDPE) or paper packaging. “We are a one-stop solution for all water-based inks and coatings. We advocate using water-based inks instead of solvent-based as a more sustainable approach,” he says.

On Printpack India, Saxena said, “The show was very promising for growing future businesses and a step ahead in our endeavor to become a global company. We received serious inquiries and desired footfall. Our agenda for participating in this show was to network better for exports to European and American companies. We are targeting European markets as they have a better understanding of the necessity and application of green products — water-based inks.”

The water-based inks market slowed down after the Covid, he said. “There were certain hindrances in 2024 in exports due to geo-political issues but things have gathered speed. Sustainable and non-hazardous inks are the biggest emerging markets. According to my estimates, it will be among the biggest markets by 2035. In Indian markets, awareness is growing but proper education on its applications is still lacking,” he said.

Asian Organics has two factories to manufacture its inks and coatings — one in Delhi’s Bawana industrial area and another in Haryana. The Rohini-headquartered company, which has an annual turnover of more than Rs 25 crore, is a pan-India provider. It also supplies to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
