As Ipack-Ima 2025 kicks off at Fiera Milano in Italy later this month, the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) is set to host a high-profile press conference exploring the future of packaging, global industry trends, and key innovations shaping the sector. IPACK-IMA 2025 will be held from 27-30 May.
Scheduled to take place from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Innovation Space Area (Hall 5, Stand D130), the event will bring together prominent voices from the international packaging community to share insights, research findings, and a preview of standout developments ahead of the WorldStar Awards ceremony.
Luciana Pellegrino, president of WPO, will deliver the keynote address titled “Global Packaging Perspectives,” highlighting the major trends, innovations, and initiatives the organisation has led over the past year. Her presentation will set the tone for a dynamic discussion on the sector’s global trajectory.
The event will feature a panel of distinguished guest speakers, including:
- Valerio Soli, president of Ipack Ima Srl, who will discuss the growing synergy between WPO and Ipack-Ima, and the fair’s expanding global relevance.
- Simone Castelli, CEO of Ipack Ima Srl, who will speak on the role of international events in driving innovation and sustainability in the packaging industry.
- Alessandra Fazio, President of the Italian Institute of Packaging, representing WPO’s Italian member, will address the evolving challenges faced by the sector.
- Soha Atallah, WPO vice president of marketing and WorldStar coordinator, will offer an exclusive preview of key innovations from WorldStar Award winners, ahead of the official ceremony on May 30.
- Riccardo Cavanna, president of UCIMA, will provide a perspective on the latest developments and challenges facing Italy’s packaging machinery manufacturers.
With global packaging at the crossroads of innovation, sustainability, and consumer demand, this press conference aims to offer the media and industry stakeholders a forward-looking view of the sector’s future.
The event is open to members of the international press and registered attendees of Ipack-Ima 2025.
