Creative Graphics, a leading provider of high-quality flexographic printing plates for over 20 years in India, showed its pre-mounted plates and new flexo plates at the IndiaCorr Expo in Greater Noida in September. The company also displayed pizza boxes printed at a customer site to highlight the kind of opportunities it offers.

The pre-mounted plates reduce a lot of work for printers and reduce the chances of error during mounting, while increasing productivity. The new flexo plate has a better ink transfer, Deepanshu Goel, managing director at Creative Graphics, told Packaging South Asia.

IndiaCorr Expo 2025 was an “incredible experience” as they were able to meet prospective customers as well as old clients. “The show has been a wonderful opportunity to meet everybody. It is a platform to meet clients from all geographies. It is also a window to see the innovations and what is happening in the corrugation world. We look forward to this event every year,” he said.

The Indian corrugation industry has been growing at a brisk pace, Goel said, adding that there has been a huge increase in consumption with the advent of eCommerce. It has always been on the push side. Now, the Indian market is going from being an unorganized sector to an organized sector, he said. “There has been a lot of investment in automation, and the overall quality of the boxes and printing. I would say it is a very bright time to be in the industry, looking at the Indian growth story,” he added.

New Bengaluru facility

Creative Graphics recently opened its ninth branch in Bangaluru. It is already present in eight locations in India –Noida, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Baddi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune.

The state-of-the-art Bengaluru facility is located at the center of the city in Rajaji Nagar. Equipped with the latest technologies, Creative Graphics has a skilled and trained team at the facility, where it will manufacture all kinds of flexo plates for labels, flexibles, corrugation, and boxes.

“We have always had a creative mantra to supersede the expectations of a client. We are looking forward to providing that kind of service and quality in Bengaluru. Owing to the growth of the southern states, we are very enthusiastic about the new facility,” Goel said.

There has been a surge in demand from the southern states in recent times owing to the good infrastructure, and the impetus by the state governments, Goel said, adding there has been a lot of investment into the south. “With factories in Hyderabad, Chennai and now Bangalore, we expect to gain business out of it.”

Oman facility

Creative Graphics is coming up with its 10th facility in Oman, its first overseas outing. Goel said Oman is going to be a state-of-the-art, full-fledged facility, adding the company is looking at the consolidation of the new demand in the Arabian region.

The Oman facility will serve the entire MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, including UAE, Jordan, and North African countries.

Premedia services

Creative Graphics has an initiative called CG Premedia, which provides end-to-end premedia services to FMCG companies, such as packaging design, adaptations, art-working, prepress, color management, mock-ups, and market testing samples. Along with this, the company had diversified into the pharmaceutical segment with Wahren India. Wahren targets pharmaceutical packaging as the company sees a gap in demand and supply in this specialty segment.

“Owing to our experience and exposure in the packaging industry, we thought pharmaceutical packaging was the right line to be in. We started with cold form resistant pharma packaging, also known as alu-alu packaging, and are now getting into PVC, PVDC, and other products,” Goel said.

The retail portion of the Creative Graphics Solutions IPO opened for subscription from 28 March to 4 April 2024. The initial public offering (IPO) of Creative Graphics Solutions received positive feedback from both foreign as well as reputed Indian investors.

Speaking of the IPO, Goel said, “We thought it was a great opportunity for a small business house like us. It has had a very positive impact on our business, and given a new perspective to our business as well as our goals. We believe that an IPO is the right step forward for any small business that aspires to become big.”

Creative Graphics plans to find new technologies where human effort can be reduced while increasing productivity and cost. “We are looking forward to any kind of opportunity that we get,” Goel said.

“We don’t want the industry to be dependent on imports. If something is being imported, we try to find out how we can replace it or manufacture it in India. With Modiji’s Make in India call, we think this is the right platform for us, and this is the right time for India to have a wonderful growth,” he said.

Packaging South Asia has been a kind of a front mirror to many packaging industry segments,” Goel concluded.
