The Mumbai-headquartered Control Print, a leading player in India’s coding and marking industry, spotlighted its advanced anti-counterfeiting and track & trace solutions at PlastIndia 2026, held from 6–10 February at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
At the exhibition, Heena Mistry, marketing manager, spoke to Packaging South Asia on the company’s focused efforts to combat product counterfeiting across multiple industry verticals. With rising regulatory scrutiny and growing risks of counterfeit goods, Control Print is strengthening its position as a technology-driven enabler of product authentication, compliance, and brand protection.
A ‘Make-in-India’ manufacturer, Control Print leverages its production facilities in Nalagarh and Guwahati to serve the evolving requirements of the domestic and South Asian markets. Its comprehensive portfolio includes continuous inkjet (CIJ), thermal inkjet (TIJ), hi-res (DOD), and laser printers for diverse sectors such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, construction materials, steel, pipes, and wood.
The company also manufactures a wide range of consumables, including inks and cartridges, engineered to deliver reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.
With over three decades of expertise, Control Print is publicly listed on both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India, reflecting its strong corporate governance and sustained growth trajectory.
In light of upcoming mandatory quality control orders in India, such as BIS certification requirements for stainless steel pipes and tubes, the company is actively supporting manufacturers with compliant, high-precision coding solutions. These systems help ensure traceability, prevent the circulation of substandard products, and reinforce supply chain transparency.
Control Print’s adaptability was further demonstrated through its diversification into personal protective equipment. What began as a crisis response in 2020 has evolved into The Mask Lab, a certified provider of international-standard N95 masks and a complete range of industrial PPE solutions that showcase the company’s ability to innovate beyond its core industrial printing expertise.
Expanding its technology ecosystem, Control Print enables innovation through its specialized brands. V-Shapes delivers patented single-serve packaging solutions that simplify dispensing, enhance consumer convenience, and enable differentiation across food, pharma, and personal care segments. Meanwhile, QriousCodes offers cloud-based track & trace and serialization solutions powered by secure QR codes, enabling real-time product authentication, anti-counterfeiting, and supply chain visibility.
Under chairman and managing director Basant Kabra, Control Print continues its strategic expansion across South Asia, with active operations in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal. As industrial segments such as wood, steel, and pipes remain key growth drivers, the company is positioning 2026 as a year of technological refinement, regulatory readiness, and strengthened market leadership.
