On 20 April 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new headquarters of Shanghai Spande took place in Maqiao Town, Minhang District, Shanghai. A significant step in Spande’s development, the new headquarters marks a solid step forward in the company’s journey “to build a world-class brand.”
The new base is located in the Shanghai Maqiao Artificial Intelligence Innovation Zone, covering a construction area of 30,000 square meters. The total investment in the new base is approximately 265 million CNY, and it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1.7 billion CNY and a tax revenue of 75 million CNY by 2030.Â
The new base is expected to be completed in early 2027. The Shanghai Maqiao Artificial Intelligence Innovation Zone, a national-level AI project, is rising as a world-class ‘city of the future.’ In this area, the industrial foundation is solid, various resource facilities are complete and abundant, and transportation is convenient, with only a 30-minute drive to both Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao International Airports.
The new base will allow Spande to optimize its management, significantly enhance its production capacity, manufacturing quality, and delivery capabilities.
Since the inception of its medium-term development strategy in 2025, Spande has remained committed to its ambitious goal of ‘expanding production capacity five-fold within three years, and achieving comprehensive global market expansion.’ From blueprint to reality, from conception to foundation laying, every step has been infused with the wisdom and hard work of all Spande employees. This was most recently visible at the large Spande stand with several running machines at the Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona in September 2025.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Steven Ye, the company’s general manager, said, “The groundbreaking is not only a starting point but also a commitment. Every shovel of earth and every brick laid today will build a solid foundation for Spande’s high-quality development. Every brick and tile laid tomorrow will construct a broad stage for us to enter the global market.”
