Lola Valentina scales growth with FedEx and Returnity reusable packaging

Lola Valentina, a Chicago-area design firm and linen rental company, has implemented the reusable packaging system introduced by FedEx and developed in collaboration with Returnity, a reusable packaging provider specializing in circular logistics. Lola Valentina launched quickly via the packaging leasing program, allowing the company to remain focused on its core business while FedEx and Returnity provide onboarding, training, and support.

Founded in 2019, Lola Valentina is a woman and minority-owned brand that is more than just a linen provider—it is a company driven by a passion for design, offering world-class craftsmanship and exceptional service.

Through FedEx and Returnity’s reusable packaging solution, Lola Valentina ships products within existing parcel workflows using a durable, reusable format designed to integrate seamlessly into the FedEx network. The system supports managed, closed-loop shipping environments, including businesses with repeat-use shipping models.

“Scaling a brand like Lola Valentina requires infrastructure that supports both creativity and consistency,” said Valentina Fonseca Krug, CEO of Lola Valentina. “As we grow in the event rental market, having a reusable box solution allows us to reduce waste and make the shipping and return process much easier for our clients.”

Within the first six weeks of implementation, Lola Valentina expanded its reusable packaging program, requesting additional boxes to support growing demand. The flexibility of the leasing model allowed the company to quickly scale utilization without having to invest in its own reusable packaging.

“As more businesses adopt reusable packaging, the focus shifts from concept to execution,” said Mike Newman, CEO of Returnity. “Lola Valentina is a strong example of how companies with repeat shipping patterns can implement a system like this and quickly scale it within their existing operations.”

The reusable packaging system was designed to address longstanding barriers that have limited adoption, including cost, complexity, and compatibility with traditional parcel networks. By working within the FedEx infrastructure, this solution enables businesses to transition from single-use corrugated packaging to reusable formats without disrupting existing workflows. Lola Valentina’s adoption reflects a broader shift among B2B shippers toward packaging systems that support both operational efficiency and long-term sustainability goals, particularly in environments where shipments are frequent and predictable.
