SASG UV Solutions has expanded its product portfolio beyond its established UV curing, coating and associated technologies by entering the packaging post-press and finishing equipment segment.
The expansion enables SASG UV Solutions to offer a broader range of production technologies to commercial printers, packaging converters, folding-carton manufacturers, rigid-box producers and corrugated packaging companies across India.
The company’s expanded portfolio encompasses automatic lamination systems, die-cutting and hot-foiling equipment, programmable paper-cutting and reel-to-sheet solutions, complete rigid-box manufacturing lines, folder-gluers and flute laminators.
SASG UV Solutions has brought together equipment from five international manufacturers: Ruian Aote Packaging Machinery; Zhejiang Baolong Machinery; Zhejiang Guowei Intelligent Equipment; Fuzhou Machbox I&E Trade; and Wenzhou Chenhe Machinery.
Commenting on the expansion, Anil Saini, co-founder of SASG UV Solutions, said, “The Indian packaging industry is expanding, and converters are looking for productive, automated and commercially viable finishing solutions. Our customers have known SASG for UV curing, coating and related technologies. By entering the packaging post-press segment, we can now support them across a much wider range of applications—from lamination and die-cutting to folding cartons, rigid boxes and corrugated packaging.”
“Our objective is to provide technologies that help Indian converters improve productivity, reduce manual intervention, maintain consistent quality and expand into value-added packaging applications. This portfolio expansion is an important step in SASG’s evolution from a specialized UV solutions provider into a broader packaging technology partner,” Saini said.
Lamination portfolio
For lamination applications, SASG UV Solutions has added equipment manufactured by Ruian Aote Packaging Machinery.
The portfolio includes: automatic thermal lamination machines, automatic thermal lamination machines with chain-knife separation, automatic dry lamination machines with disc-knife separation, automatic dry lamination machines with chain-knife separation, automatic dry lamination machines with embossing, automatic dry lamination machines with hot-knife separation, automatic roll-to-roll dry lamination machines & automatic water-based window lamination machines
The range is intended to address different production requirements in commercial printing, book production, folding cartons and paperboard packaging. The availability of disc-knife, chain-knife and hot-knife configurations will allow converters to select a separation technology according to their films, substrates, production speeds and finished applications.
The embossing configuration will allow printers and packaging converters to combine lamination with tactile surface enhancement, while the window-lamination equipment will support packaging designs requiring transparent product-visibility windows.
Die-cutting, stripping and foiling
SASG UV Solutions will offer die-cutting equipment from Zhejiang Baolong Machinery Co., Ltd., covering: Automatic die-cutting machines, Automatic die-cutting machines with stripping & Automatic die-cutting machines with stripping and hot-foil stamping.
The range has been selected to address the converting requirements of folding cartons and other paperboard-packaging applications.
The automatic die-cutting systems are designed to help converters achieve consistent cutting and creasing, while stripping configurations can reduce downstream manual operations by separating waste from finished blanks. Machines combining die-cutting, stripping and foil stamping will enable converters to produce premium packaging with decorative metallic effects through an integrated production platform.
“The market is steadily moving towards shorter delivery schedules, greater consistency and higher levels of automation,” said Sankoch Gaur, co-founder of SASG UV Solutions. “At the same time, brands are demanding more attractive and differentiated packaging. Solutions that combine precise die-cutting, automated stripping and value-added foiling can help converters meet these expectations while improving production efficiency.”
Paper cutting and reel-to-sheet
For paper and board cutting applications, SASG UV Solutions has incorporated machines from Zhejiang Guowei Intelligent Equipment.
The range comprises: Paper-cutting machines & Reel-to-sheet cutters.
The paper-cutting machines will address the requirements of commercial printers, folding-carton manufacturers, book printers and paper converters. The reel-to-sheet systems will enable companies to convert paper and board reels into sheets suited to their subsequent printing and converting processes.
These solutions extend SASG’s offering into substrate preparation and finishing, enabling customers to evaluate equipment according to their formats, materials, production volumes and workflow requirements.
Complete rigid-box manufacturing
SASG has entered the rigid-box equipment segment with solutions from Fuzhou Machbox I&E Trade.
The portfolio covers: Fully automatic single-station rigid-box manufacturing machines, Fully automatic double-station rigid-box manufacturing machines, Semi-automatic and fully automatic lines for collapsible boxes, Semi-automatic rigid-box gluing machines, Corner-taping machines, Box-forming machines, Bubble presses, V-grooving machines, Pressing and folding machines & others.
The range is designed to support different levels of production automation, from businesses entering the rigid-box segment to established manufacturers seeking higher output and reduced dependence on manual processes.
Single- and double-station automatic configurations will offer customers options based on their production volume and application mix. The semi-automatic equipment range will allow converters to configure modular production lines for gluing, corner taping, forming, pressing, V-grooving and folding.
The solutions will be relevant to manufacturers serving premium packaging applications such as jewellery, cosmetics, fragrances, confectionery, electronics, fashion accessories, corporate gifting and luxury products.
“Rigid packaging is becoming an increasingly important value-added segment,” Gaur said. “Brands want packaging that enhances presentation, protects the product and delivers a memorable unboxing experience. However, rigid-box manufacturing can be highly dependent on skilled manual operations. By offering both semi-automatic and fully automatic configurations, we want to help customers select an appropriate level of automation according to their production volumes, investment plans and growth objectives.”
Folding-carton and corrugated
SASG UV Solutions will offer folder-gluers and flute laminators manufactured by Wenzhou Chenhe Machinery.
The folder-gluer portfolio covers: Straight-line and side-pasting cartons, Lock-bottom cartons, Four-corner boxes, Six-corner boxes & other applications.
These configurations will enable folding-carton converters to address a wide variety of packaging structures used across pharmaceutical, food, personal-care, cosmetics, FMCG, electronics and general consumer-product applications.
The flute-laminator range will be available in 1,300-mm, 1,450-mm and 1,600-mm working widths, with configurations for three-ply and five-ply applications. These machines will support the lamination of printed top sheets to corrugated substrates for applications requiring a combination of visual impact and structural strength.
According to Gaur, “Our expanded portfolio has been structured around the actual production requirements of packaging companies. Whether a customer needs a standalone paper cutter, a folder-gluer, a lamination system or an integrated rigid-box manufacturing line, SASG aims to understand the application first and then recommend an appropriate solution.”
Wider packaging technology platform
The portfolio expansion represents a strategic move by SASG to participate in a larger portion of the printing and packaging production chain.
With its existing capabilities in UV curing, LED-UV systems, UV coating, interdeck systems, chillers and related applications, the company has traditionally worked closely with printers and converters. Its entry into post-press and finishing will enable it to address additional production requirements within the same customer base.
Saini said, “Our relationship with customers does not end with the supply of equipment. The performance of a machine depends on appropriate configuration, installation, operator understanding and consistent technical support. As we introduce these new product categories, our focus will remain on application-based consultation and building long-term relationships with customers.”
He concluded, “This is not simply an addition of machines to our catalogue. It is a planned expansion intended to position SASG as a comprehensive solutions provider for printing and packaging companies. We see significant opportunities in folding cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated packaging and value-added finishing, and we are committed to supporting customers as they enter or expand within these segments.”
