X-Rite Pantone, a global authority in color standards and color science, has announced Spectura, its next-generation portable sphere spectrophotometer platform designed to connect trusted color measurement with modern quality workflows.

Combining advanced measurement performance, secure cloud connectivity, and an expandable application framework, Spectura helps manufacturers reduce color errors, accelerate decisions, and maintain consistency from the laboratory to the production floor.

Manufacturers increasingly manage color across distributed sites, supplier networks, and diverse materials while facing tighter tolerances and shorter approval cycles. Yet many production measurements still require manual data transfers before review, limiting visibility and slowing corrective action.

Connected color quality

Spectura brings laboratory-level measurement performance to a durable, portable platform. This new architecture integrates advanced optics, high-definition camera targeting, temperature-aware measurement, purpose-built accessories, secure cloud connectivity, NetProfiler integration, and future application capabilities within a single platform. Strong inter-instrument agreement with established X-Rite handheld and benchtop systems helps maintain alignment between established color standards and production results to reduce measurement variation and create a foundation for connected color quality management.

Secure cloud connectivity powered by X-Rite Color iQC brings color and instrument performance data directly into digital quality workflows, reducing manual transfers. Quality managers can review production results in real time, identify issues earlier, reduce rework, and collaborate across locations and suppliers using a shared source of trusted color data.

A platform designed to evolve

Spectura unites instrument hardware, cloud services, NetProfiler, and modular applications to help manufacturers modernize color quality workflows while building on established standards and practices.

Three models address distinct quality needs – Spectura S60 for portable color comparison.

Spectura S62 for everyday quality control; and Spectura S64 for tighter tolerances and agreement with Ci7800 benchtop spectrophotometers.

X-Rite Pantone will showcase the Spectura Series at Fakuma 2026, 12–16 October in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in Hall B1, Stand 1307. Attendees can see a live demonstration on Tuesday, October 13.

A global launch event will follow on 21 October 2026, featuring a closer look at how Spectura connects color measurement and quality workflows across the enterprise.
