The announcement was made by Gallus and Heidelberg on the opening day of Loupe India 2026, marking a significant addition to Letra Graphix’s hybrid printing capabilities.
Gallus and Heidelberg announced the sale of their Gallus Five hybrid digital press to Ahmedabad-based Letra Graphix on the opening day of Loupe India 2026. The installation will make Letra Graphix the first company in Asia to install the Gallus Five, which was first shown at Labelexpo (Loupe) in Barcelona in September 2025. The sale to LetraGraphix marks an important development for the region’s label printing industry.
The announcement was made during a special ceremony at the exhibition, following a video demonstration of the press. Senior representatives from Gallus and Heidelberg joined the Letra Graphix team on stage to celebrate the occasion.
“The Gallus Five press is coming to our homeland, India, and we would like to celebrate this moment with all of you,” a Gallus representative announced during the ceremony. Sahil Shah, director of Letra Graphix, expressed confidence in the investment, noting that the press would help the company produce high-end, high-quality labels.
The acquisition represents Letra Graphix’s second investment in a Gallus hybrid digital press as the Ahmedabad-based converter looks to strengthen its capabilities in premium label production with the possibility of an enormous range of decoration, variable encoding and security applications.
Unveiled at Labelexpo Barcelona 2025, the Gallus Five integrates digital inkjet printing with conventional printing and finishing processes within a single hybrid production platform. Its configuration enables label converters to handle diverse production requirements, including short runs, variable-data applications and value-added finishes.
The announcement ceremony brought together key representatives from both organizations. With this investment, Letra Graphix is positioning itself to expand its premium label production capabilities while becoming the first Gallus Five installation site in Asia.
