They offer both digital and conventional plates in addition to services like graphic designing, flexo designing, colour separation, trapping, preflight checks, ink management and Esko screens.
Digital Process have rapidly established themselves as a quality supplier of plates and pre-press services. Their customers include well-known printers who are catering to the requirements of such leading end-users as Shell, Reckitt-Benckiser, Phillip Morris, Merck, Oxford, Unilever, WalMart, Colgate-Palmolive, McDonalds, ICI, Berger, Avery Dennison, Paxar, Nokia and Caltex. Design services are also provided to overseas customers in the Middle East, East and Southeast Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa, South America and North America including Canada and the USA. Their annual sales volume is in excess of US$ 1 million.
Digital Process lays great emphasis on all their personnel fully understanding the printing processes. All their graphic designers are first trained on flexographic stack presses and central impression presses before they are assigned any design duties so as to achieve the best results. Their digital plates have helped to significantly improve the quality of flexographic printing in Pakistan and this has helped to pioneer a digital revolution of sorts. According to Mr. Mohammad Shahid, Managing Director of Merit Packaging, one of Pakistan’s leading package printers and converters, “With the entry of Digital Process Private Limited in photopolymer plate production, the quality of flexographic printing in Pakistan has improved tremendously. In the days when photopolymer plates were produced through conventional methods and yielded average print quality, printers had to import the said plates. Digital Process launched the modern digital technology with ‘Esko Workflow Software’ and dramatically changed the scenario. They are delivering first class plates of international standard with crisp image details at attractive prices. Digital Process has a team of dedicated and customer-focussed people.”
Mr. Roy Schoettle of the Asia Pacific Flint Group Printing Plates division also lauds the exemplary efforts made by Digital Process. He states, “In general, our sales in Pakistan grew about 350 per cent over the last three years. We have been selling digital plates there for only the last two years as, till then, only one digital imager existed in Pakistan. However, we are now the dominating supplier of digital plates in Pakistan selling to all the existing digital services in the country. Our digital growth in Pakistan was dramatic thanks mainly to Digital Process. From 2006 to 2007, our business with Digital Process nearly tripled. They are the second largest consumer of our Gold A plates in this region and, as far as total consumption of conventional and digital plates is concerned, they rank number one on the Indian subcontinent. In fact, for our digital Gold A plates, Digital Process are the biggest users not only on the subcontinent but in all of Asia.” The Flint Group thinks Digital Process’s timing in entering the business was excellent and their growth is ample proof that the decision was right; they expect this growth to be maintained for all types of plates.
