Alok Masterbatches launches new range of fully bio-degradable compounds at Plastivision

At Plastivision 2020, which recently concluded in Mumbai, Alok Masterbatches launched Envoplast, its new range of fully bio-degradable compounds and solutions. Envoplast range offers fully compostable solutions for various applications giving an alternative to conventional polyolefinic material. “Sustainability is now an important issue and with Envoplast we are launching a product to address the issue. We have compounds that go directly into the blown film line. Customers will not have to invest in any new technology for Envoplast,” said Amit Puri of Alok Masterbatches. Envoplast range of products (masterbatches and compounds) is based on biopolymers and naturally occurring materials only. Envoplast compounds are mainly developed for film, injection and thermoforming applications. Its applications include disposable products, garbage bags, bubble film wraps, carry bags, slips and pouches and tableware, among others. The Envoplast colors were launched at K 2019 but the compounds were officially launched during Plastivision 2020.
