At Printpack India 2015, Vinsak, the solution provider for the printing and packaging industry showcased the Vinsak LVPI (Variable Data Printing and Inspection System) and Vinsak Brand Protection Solutions. The LVPI offers reliability, flexibility and high performance along with low cost of operation compared to a variety of options in the inkjet printing systems, UV-curing systems and inspection systems. The unique design of this label printing and inspection system includes a quick makeready scissor slitting unit with knife separation and lateral adjustment.
Last year, Vinsak had announced its strategic alliance with DG press of The Netherlands. “With DGpress’s advanced technology in the shaftless presses for security printing and sleeve presses for flexible packaging, we hope to leverage their technology to bring world-class solutions to the markets we operate in,” said Ranesh Bajaj, director – Vinsak. The company in association with DG press has launched the 1 metre wide offset press – Thallo for printing of films.
The Vinsak Brand Protection Solutions consist of security inks, security software, security substrates and track-and-trace solution to address applications such as rail tickets, ID cards, passbooks, driving licenses, certificates, road permits, cheques, tax revenue stamps with various features like anti-copy, void pattern, micro-text, hidden images and more. More over, the substrates include security threads and fibres for the supply chain.
The first sale of a direct laser engraving system from Vinsak has been done in Delhi and the installation is coming up in April 2015, according to Bajaj. “This is the first system for making sleeves as well as EPDM rubber plates. All these machines are now being manufactured in our plant in Mumbai where we have boosted capacity by adding in a new floor along with additional people.”
Bajaj said that the 2015-16 financial year had already picked up in terms of demand for new machines after the new government has come in place. “We have launched our own Vinsak branded flexo plates division which has generated good traction already. Going forward we believe a lot of consolidation and clean up has taken place in the industry which has helped in renewing demand and the market is showing signs of a turn-around. Our key focus will remain on the label printing market where we provide solutions from printing to finishing and we will continue to concentrate in providing the right solutions to our customers,” Bajaj concluded.
