Bobst India demonstrated the recently launched Novafold folder gluer at Pamex 2023, being held in Mumbai from 27-30 March. Bobst performed two special jobs on the Novafold – which was shown on a public platform for the first time in India – during the expo.

We performed two jobs on the Novafold at Pamex. The first is a combination of cavity and partition in one carton in a single pass. The second one is the smallest straight-line job where the folded flat is just 30 mm. The straight line boxes, we are running 85,000 cartons per hour while the cavity and partition job is being run at 12,000 boxes per hour,” said Sachin Patil, area sales manager, TSM sales, BUPC- folding carton.

Novafold, which was launched in the Indian market in November last year, is being fully manufactured at Bobst India’s state-of-the-art plant near Pune.

Since the launch, we have sold five machines. One machine was dispatched recently while the others are in the process of being sent in the coming months. Novafold can be used by carton converters who supply cartons to brands in the cosmetics, pharma, and food industries,” Patil said.
