Zodiac Reprographics, a provider of label & packaging printing from Cherlapally in Hyderabad, has installed a a Rhyguan SMART-450 slitter-rewinder machine with Luster 100% inspection camera, which has been supplied and installed by Flexo Image Graphics—a leading distributor & service provider of flexo presses & associated equipment in the Indian sub-continent.
“After a thorough search and comparisons, we eventually chose the high-speed and high-precision Rhyguan SMART-450 slitter-rewinder for its unique features like the Luster 8K 100% inspection camera with variable data inspection capability. We decided to opt for this ‘smart’ and one-of-its-own-kind unique finishing system from FIG to make sure that the labels and other prints we produce are cent-percent defect free,” says Jaideep Singh, managing director of Zodiac Reprographics.
So far, FIG has done several installations of the Luster inspection system on Rhyguan and Rotoflex slitter-rewinders. Also, FIG has recently installed the 100% detection system on presses like Bobst, Mark Andy and wide web presses for reducing cost of materials. “With our investment in machines like Rhyguan SMART-450, what has been cultivated at Zodiac Reprographics as core culture since our inception around four decades ago is the readiness to cope with challenges and adapt to changes—be it technologies or innovations. Lt. Col. MD Singh, who retired after 21 years of service in the army and decided to put his time to good use, gave birth to Zodiac Printers barely using a single letterpress in the year 1981, which in due course of time transpired into Zodiac Reprographics with more dynamic and sustainable business that still thrives on his principles. “Today, a generation later, we focus on the same value of innovations and client-centricity,” says Jaideep.
He continues, “We are determined to use only the latest and efficient machines and technologies, such as the new Rhyguan SMART-450, for catering richest outputs to the utmost satisfaction of our clients.” Zodiac Reprographics has pioneered in using several top-class print techniques and technologies to meet new and challenging assignments. After the first offset press in 1989, a four-color press arrived at the company’s facility in 2005, five-color press in 2008, then South East Asia’s first 8-color flexo press in 2012 and so forth.
