Vinod Kakde, head of Technical Sales of Shrinath Rotopack at Anuga FoodTec
Hyderabad-based flexible packaging solutions provider, Shrinath Rotopack, promoted its full range of solutions at the recent Anuga FoodTec expo in Mumbai.
“We showcased a wide array of our flexible packaging solutions, including microwaveable pouches, retort pouches, flat-bottom pouches, and more. We highlighted our laser-scored packaging solutions, a technology we began utilizing a few years ago,” said Vinod Kakde, head of Technical Sales at Shrinath Rotopack.
Laser scoring facilitates easy tearing of the packaging material, offering convenience in opening. The process involves burning the top layer of the laminated film to weaken the structure, making it easier to tear.
Speaking about the Anuga FoodTec show, Kakde said the focus was on engaging with potential customers from the food industry, as the expo is dedicated to that sector. “The demand for flexible packaging in the food industry is experiencing solid growth, and we received significant interest from the visitors we met at the event,” he said.
Shrinath Rotopack operates multiple CI flexo and rotogravure presses at its facility. It has lamination machines from Nord Meccanica and high-speed pouch-making machines from Totani of Japan.
