Prasanna Sahu with Mark Andy Pro Series

Mumbai-based Barcom Industries label printing and manufacturing facility in Vasai East has a portfolio of Mark Andy machines, which has just been expanded with two new Pro Series label presses.

“We have just completed the installations of two Mark Andy Pro Series label presses from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), which we booked last year and eagerly awaited,” says Prasanna Sahu, managing director, Barcom Industries.

Sahu said the two new Mark Andy Pro Series label presses are expected to improve print quality and productivity tremendously. “We are grateful to FIG for the machines and their post-sales service support. Our partnership dates to the beginning of our business in 2002. We kick-started our journey with a Mark Andy press from FIG.”

FIG started its business as a Mark Andy distributor and Barcom was among its early customers. Gourav Roy, director FIG, says Barcom has made notable investments in multiple Mark Andy presses from FIG, among which the recent back to back installations of the two Pro Series label presses truly remarkable.

Barcom began with a Mark Andy 830 followed by a string of Mark Andy 2200 and Performance Series P5 presses. Barcom works for a league of reputed brands across key sectors such as FMCG, beverage, pharmaceutical, vehicular maintenance, etc.

“Beyond the domestic market, we have expanded our client base into the international market,” Sahu says, “We always endeavor to maintain quality printing and productivity for meeting our clients’ ever increasing demands for premium print outputs in quick turnaround times. For this, we persistently upgrade our machine portfolio.”

Sahu says the two new presses have injected confidence and capability to take labels printing to a new level. Barcom also has other machines from FIG, which include Rotoflex inspection slitter rewinders, Rotoflex HSI label inspection system with 100% Nikka L1 inspection cameras, and Rotoflex bi-directional pharma inspection machine.
