One of India’s leading manufacturer and supplier, Monotech Systems installed the made in India JETSCI Colornovo at Barcom Industries Limited in Mumbai on 28 May 2019. Sharing their views on this installation, Prasanna Sahu, chairman and Uday Lodha, director of Barcom Industries jointly say, “We chose Jetsci Colornovo after an extensive research on the quality, reliability and productivity it offers. Being a UV Inkjet technology, we found it to be the most flexible and cost-effective solution in the market. Another important factor is that it is backed by the trustworthy support of Monotech Systems.

“We have planned to migrate all our short-run jobs on Colornovo and free up our flexo machine for printing long-run work. With this, we hope to deliver the work in shortest term around time with value-added features.”

Dinesh Thakur, deputy general manager , Sales – IPS, Monotech Systems says, “We proudly announce the eighth installation of Colornovo UV inkjet label production press. Six Colonovo machines are already installed overseas and one machine will be installed in Italy in the month of July, which is being done in association with our OEM supplier. We are overwhelmed with the response to our made in India full color digital label production press – JETSCI Colornovo. It is the one of the first machines configured with all necessary requirements of digital label production such as UV inkjet, CMYK+W, flexo finishing unit and die-cut unit, so as to finish a print work in one pass at shortest turnaround time.

JETSCI Colornovo has been completely conceptualized, researched and developed in India at Monotech Systems’ dedicated R&D cum demo center based in Gurugram. The Center of Excellence has state-of-the-art facilities with expert team meeting all international standards.

We have many innovative projects under development and we are committed to bring cutting-edge technology solutions to the label printing industry. Being the first and only manufacturer of these systems in India and competing major brands across the globe, we feel immensely proud in taking this make in India project to the global market.”

The impact, resilience, and growth of responsible packaging in a wide region are daily chronicled by Packaging South Asia.

A multi-channel B2B publication and digital platform such as Packaging South Asia.is always aware of the prospect of new beginnings and renewal. Its 16-year-old print monthly, based in New Delhi, India has demonstrated its commitment to progress and growth. The Indian and Asian packaging industries have shown resilience in the face of ongoing challenges over the past three years.

As we present our publishing plan for 2023, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 will reach 6.3%. Packaging industry growth has exceeded GDP growth even when allowing for inflation in the past three years.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 33% over the past three years. With orders in place, we expect another 33% capacity addition from 2023 to 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels have grown similarly. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

Even given the disruptions of supply chains, raw material prices, and the challenge of responsible and sustainable packaging, packaging in all its creative forms and purposes has significant headroom to grow in India and Asia. Our context and coverage engulf the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and further – to waste collection and recycling. We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers.
