hubergroup Chemicals is among the largest manufacturers of specialty chemicals such as resins, laminating adhesives, additives and dyes

hubergroup Chemicals, one of the largest manufacturers of chemicals with a strong presence in India, is presenting its portfolio of PU resins, UV oligomers, polyesters, pigments and pigment concentrates at the American Coatings Show from 30 April – 2 May, 2024, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. A special focus will be on UV technology and products for the wood coatings market. The company will be present at stand 2638.

The biennial American Coatings Show + Conference this year follows the theme, ‘Innovations in Coatings Technology: Shaping Our Future.’ This is also the theme of the hubergroup Chemicals booth, where the company will be presenting its comprehensive portfolio and inviting visitors to engage in dialog with its experts.

In a sustainable and future-oriented manner, hubergroup Chemicals will be paying particular attention to UV technology and products for wood coatings, including UV resin and UV monomer products. These form an effective and efficient alternative to traditional air, moisture, and thermal-cured coatings, because they offer faster curing times, reduced energy consumption, and improved coating performance. The portfolio also includes raw materials for printing inks and overprint varnishes such as resins, additives and colorants.

“The United States is one of the most dynamic markets in the world with great growth opportunities. The origins of hubergroup go back well before the American Declaration of Independence and have their roots in printing inks. Based on this experience and knowledge, we offer a portfolio of products that goes far beyond that – including the latest innovations for the coatings sector, which we are proud to present at the American Coatings Show,” says Taner Bicer, board member and managing director, hubergroup.

“Sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness are at the forefront of our coatings portfolio. Our product innovations for America are particularly exciting for large customers as well as niche players because we can produce our specialty chemicals ourselves and tailor them to the individual needs,” says Greg Bengtson, president hubergroup Chemicals USA.

hubergroup Chemicals is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of specialty chemicals such as resins, laminating adhesives, additives and dyes. The company was founded in 2020 and is a division of the international chemical and printing ink specialist hubergroup, which is based in Germany and looks back on a history of over 258 years.

hubergroup Chemicals has its own plants worldwide and is the largest UV oligomer producer in India, where it produces cost-effective, high-quality and customized UV-curable oligomers, polyurethane resins, laminating adhesives (2K PU systems), modified rosin resins, PVB, ketone resins and polyamides as well as pigment concentrates, alkali blue and adhesion promoters. hubergroup Chemicals is a leader in pigment synthesis capacity.

In its own production facilities, hubergroup Chemicals carries out numerous reaction mechanisms in more than 100 reactors. For example, addition, condensation, and the azo coupling reaction in pigment synthesis are among the group’s specialties. With a cumulative production capacity of almost 300 kilotons, hubergroup Chemicals is one of the largest and most renowned manufacturers in the chemicals sector.

At the American Coatings Show, hubergroup Chemicals will be on site with numerous experts who can provide visitors with competent information, present the products and, above all, address the aspects of sustainability and product safety.

“We combine the highest quality and service with sustainability and the goal of the circular economy, which will play a special role at this year’s American Coatings Show. Our experts, including scientists, applications specialists and marketers, bring together a wealth of knowledge and innovative thinking with our customers and the future in mind,” says Greg Bengtson, president, hubergroup Chemicals USA.

In recent years, hubergroup Chemicals has developed into a leading global expert in the field of raw material production and has steadily expanded its portfolio. Thanks to the extensive production capacities, hubergroup Chemicals has acquired many international and regional customers from the chemicals, coatings and printing ink industries in the last two years.

The total volume that hubergroup Chemicals supplies to the paint and coatings industry will soon exceed 20,000 tons. hubergroup Chemicals maintains its own production plants and research departments worldwide, which work closely together on the latest innovations – with more than 20 new products every year.

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive

The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.

As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The packaging industry growth will match the GDP growth in volume terms and surpass it by at least 3% in terms of nominal growth allowing for price inflation in energy, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are growing similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

For responsible and sustainable packaging, with its attendant regulations and compliances, there is significant headroom to grow in India and the region. Our coverage includes the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and to waste collection, sorting, and recycling.

We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers. This is a large and complex canvas – the only thing that can work is your agile thinking and innovation together with our continuous learning and persistence.

The coming year looks to be an up year in this region, and this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing communication – in our rich and highly targeted business platform with human resources on the ground.
