Ipack-Ima 2025 and its co-located show, Pharmintech, officially opened on 27 May at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre and will run until 30 May. This year’s edition brings together 1,300 exhibitors from 28 countries, among them 38% international participants. Notably strong contingents are present from Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, France, and China.

India, too, is represented by a select group of companies, showcasing their latest technologies across the two events.

At Ipack-Ima, Ajit Industries is exhibiting in Pavilion 6, Stand E45, while Hi Tech International is located at Pavilion 3, Stand B134. Also in Pavilion 3, Stand B126, A Innovative is presenting its engineering solutions. Vacmet India, a key producer of packaging films and coated products, is at Pavilion 5, Stand B137.

Meanwhile, at Pharmintech, Summits Hygronics is displaying its pharmaceutical and life sciences solutions at Pavilion 2, Stand D71. Ami Polymer, a specialist in medical-grade polymers and cleanroom components, is participating through its local representative, Utensil Meccanica 2000. Jekson Vision, known for its pharmaceutical track-and-trace technologies, is represented by MM Service.

Spanning eight halls and covering more than 60,000 square meters, the combined event is a major platform for packaging, processing, and pharmaceutical solutions. Thanks to support from the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), more than 400 selected buyers from 63 countries are in attendance. Key focus markets include India, Armenia, China, Mexico, and Ethiopia, underscoring the show’s role as a strategic global meeting point.

The exhibitor portfolio is spread across key sectors: grain-based food (30%), fresh and convenience foods (30%), end-of-line solutions (20%), liquid foods and beverages (15%), and pharmaceuticals and chemicals (5%), alongside the dedicated Pharmintech section.

This year’s edition places a strong emphasis on sustainability, digitalization, and artificial intelligence—touching on areas such as smart factories, cyber security, food safety, and regulatory challenges. The agenda highlights how companies can evolve amid complex global shifts.

The event is also hosting a number of special program. On 28 May, the Best Packaging Awards will recognize outstanding Italian packaging solutions. On 30 May, the WorldStar Awards—the global packaging industry’s highest honor—will be held at Milan’s Teatro Alcione. The Pastaria Festival, dedicated to pasta manufacturers, will run on 28 and 29 May.
