UFlex introduces paper-based tube ‘Kraftika’

UFlex, an Indian multinational in flexible packaging materials and solutions, has introduced eco-friendly paper-based tubes– Kraftika, the latest entrant from FlexiTubes. The company claims to have revolutionized tube packaging with its innovative brand FlexiTubes that overcomes not only the limitation of present conventional tube packaging format but also creates endless possibilities for the brand. According to Uflex, FlexiTubes offers all the critical features required for a successful packaging – aesthetics to creating shelf appeal, barrier for protecting the ingredients, and anti-counterfeit features for brand protection. Eco-friendly paper-based tubes Kraftika has been created for a positive impact on the environment and consumers by reducing the use of plastic at source, states the press release. The new tube uses moisture-resistant kraft paper sandwiched between layers of plastic as the tube’s body enables the reduction of plastic by almost 50% to 70% based on the application and tube diameters. It makes use of paper instead. UFlex reports that the virgin kraft paper used for tubes has low cobb value (low moisture absorption) and high burst value (tube integrity).…
