At PlastIndia 2026 in New Delhi, Rossini India showcased its range of rubber rollers and sleeves designed for printing, lamination, slitting, and extrusion coating applications. The company highlighted products that address the needs of converters across segments, from traditional mechanical line-shaft machines to advanced flexo and gravure processes.

Rossini displayed a broader variety of rubber rollers than it typically brings to industry events, including samples of the actual rubber compounds used in nipping rollers. A key highlight was its recently launched grooved rollers, which have seen strong demand, particularly from film processing lines where primary slitting machines use these rollers for unwinding.

To support this segment, Rossini has added a new 2.2-meter grinding machine at its Pune facility, capable of producing diamond and spiral grooves of varying depths — equipment not usually featured at other exhibitions.

The company presented its sleeve offerings for flexo and gravure printing, reinforcing its commitment to both conventional and advanced converting technologies. These product demonstrations were aimed not only at large converters but also at mid-sized and tier-2 and tier-3 converters who may not regularly attend international trade shows and represent a significant user base for rubber roller systems.

In an interview with Packaging South Asia at the show, Ashwin Hebbar of Rossini India explained that PlastIndia’s strength lies in attracting end-users such as production and maintenance professionals — the individuals who work with these components daily and can provide meaningful technical feedback on performance.

Hebbar discussed the progress on Rossini India’s expanded manufacturing facility in Pune. The new plant, currently under development, will span approximately 24,000 square meters — three times the size of the existing unit — and is targeted for completion by 2028.

Land acquisition is complete, and construction of the first phase is already underway. The new facility will replicate and expand current capabilities, including in-house steel-base manufacturing, internal turning and boring operations, and production of rubber rollers for printing, lamination, slitting, and extrusion coating applications.

Designed with future growth in mind, the site will also allocate space for eventual flexo sleeve production once domestic demand reaches a viable scale, positioning Rossini for long-term growth in the Indian market.

Hebbar said Rossini’s consistent participation in PlastIndia reflects its focused strategy to connect with customers who make real operational decisions on the shop floor, making the show a key platform for product engagement and industry interaction.
