Arvind Rub-Web Controls saw strong visitor engagement and business enquiries at PlastIndia 2026, with the company highlighting its made-in-India sleeves for flexo- graphic printing applications.

Nirav Patel, managing director of Arvind Rub-Web Controls, said the 6-day exhibition delivered encouraging feedback, with footfalls remaining robust for most of the event. The company showcased its range of sleeves, manufactured domestically over the past three years.

Patel said market response to the sleeves has been “absolutely fantastic,” underlining a growing shift towards locally produced alternatives in a segment traditionally dependent on imports. He said customers are increasingly confident about sourcing Indian-made products that meet performance expectations while offering faster delivery and service support.

According to Patel, domestic manufacturing allows the company to deliver products to customers quickly, reducing lead times and improving responsiveness. He said there is no
longer a compelling need to import such sleeves, as comparable solutions are being produced in India.

Commenting on the outlook for the central impression (CI) flexo segment, Patel said the Indian market is about to witness significant capacity additions. He estimates that 45–50 new CI flexo presses are expected to be installed in the country in the near term.

He noted the emergence of Indian machine builders in the CI flexo space. At least two to three presses are already being manufactured domestically, with more companies entering the segment. Patel said the increasing participation of Indian manufacturers signals confidence in the long-term prospects of the technology. The expected rise in flexo press installations is likely to benefit ancillary segments such as sleeves and web control sys-
tems, as converters seek reliable and locally supported components.

Optimistic about the future of CI flexo in India, Patel cited rising demand for high-quality flexible packaging and the need for improved productivity among converters. He said his company plans to strengthen its domestic footprint further by supporting the growing installed base of flexo presses.
