UVBIZZ Indore installs a new Bobst Vision CI flexo 8-color press

UVBIZ in Indore has escalated its flexible packaging capacity with the installation of a Bobst Vision CI flexo 8-color press. The company has been operating a Bobst Master M6 flexo 8-color label press for short-run flexible packaging, sleeves, and labels since 2018.

The Vision CI 8-color flexo press is equipped with a wider web width and Bobst’s one ECG (Extended Color Gamut) technology. It has been introduced to boost capacity and diversify printing capabilities at the flexible packaging plant, including on thinner and extensible substrates.

UVBIZ was set up in 2018 by MB Industries, a diversified company in several businesses, including grains and food processing. The idea was to address specific gaps in the flexible packaging market, especially for smaller volume requirements. Rohit Badlani, the company’s director, recognized an opportunity to create a niche packaging organization for both large established brands as well as emerging smaller players.

As we reported at the time, the company began its flexible packaging operations with the installation of a Bobst Master M6 8-color flexo press. It was able to use this press to establish the company’s reputation for high-performance packaging solutions. With the addition of the new CI-ready-for-extended-color-gamut flexo press, it is equipped to efficiently take on premium quality and high-volume flexible packaging work.

UVBIZ director Sanjay Badlani comments, “The decision to partner with Bobst for the Vision CI flexo press was driven by the need for precision and reliability. We required a wider-web CI flexo press to enhance our production capabilities. The Vision CI is a perfect fit for our objectives — it allows us to cater to the increasing demand while also helping us explore high-end packaging segments with superior quality printing.”

Apart from its efficiency in handling a wide range of substrates, the new Vision CI features technical innovations and automation for fast setup and changeover, and repeatable process consistency with minimum waste. The press design with automatic face-to-face winders is based on a highly modular concept enabling fast changeovers, makeready, and start-up.

Badlani adds, “Our goal was always to provide solutions that were not only comprehensive but also ready to tackle the industry’s biggest challenges. With Bobst’s CI flexo technology, we’re confident in delivering faster turnaround times and unmatched quality to our customers. This investment is a testament to our dedication to exceeding client expectations. Over the years, UVBIZ has earned the trust of leading national and international brands through its unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.”
