Acme Rolltech is set to unveil its latest product, the ATAC-2.0 or ACME TActile roll, at the Labelexpo Europe 2023, which will take place in Brussels in September. According to Sandeep Sharma, the director of Acme Rolltech, this new roll incorporates advanced engraving technology, promising even better results compared to the previous ATAC version.
“We launched our special ATAC roll – ACME TActile during Labelexpo Brussels 2019. The customers liked the product and in the past four years, we have sold more than 200 ATAC rolls in the market. With our latest engraving technology, we can achieve still better results as compared to ATAC. So we are launching ATAC-2.0 during this year’s Labelexpo 2023,” Sharma says.
Sharma emphasizes the market’s demand for premiumization and the company’s commitment to providing exceptional results for their customers’ requests for embellishments.
“The market today is moving towards premiumization and all brands have segregated their product portfolio accordingly. We are working in that direction to help our customers achieve exceptional results for their embellishments with the help of our Anilox. We can achieve 25-30% better results in our ATAC 2.0 roll. It will provide our customers the options to play around where embellishments are in huge demand,” he argues.
Founded in 2018, Acme Rolltech is the first Indian company to manufacture ceramic rolls and sleeves, refurbish old rolls, and offer cleaning solutions and roll auditing services. The company caters to a varied market segment and industries such as narrow web flexo, offset coating, corrugation, CI flexo, and specialty coating applications.
The company has recently expanded its manufacturing capacity by investing in a new engraving machine and post-processing equipment.
Apart from providing the regular LPI – BCM anilox rolls and sleeves for the narrow web label market, Acme Rolltech has developed specialized rolls keeping in mind the specific requirements of its customers around the globe.
Acme Rolltech’s investment in a new engraving machine and post-processing equipment has significantly enhanced its manufacturing capacity and enabled the development of advanced engraving technology.
Sharma shed light on some of Acme Rolltech’s other specialized offerings, such as the AHDW (Acme High-Density White) anilox roll.

“The AHDW – Acme High-Density White – helps customers in achieving the highest opacity of white in a single pass. With regular Anilox, the customer always struggles to achieve the desired opacity and tries to put white on two stations. Our AHDW anilox provides the highest opacity compared to other aniloxes,” he says.
“Considering the requirements of new high-end flexo presses, we launched our ACE-Advanced Channel Engraving technology during Labelexpo India 2022 last year. The samples of ATAC 2.0, AHDW, and ACE engraving will be available for our customers at our Labelexpo stall,” he adds.
Second time at Labelexpo Brussels
Acme Rolltech is exhibiting at Labelexpo Brussels for the second time and the company hopes to have a great show like last time. The event holds immense significance for Acme Rolltech, as it provides a platform for increased brand visibility and global partnerships.
“Labelexpo Brussels is considered the Mecca of label printing. Participating in this show increases your brand visibility along with confidence in our customers and agent partners around the world. When we participated in 2019, we had no export business. Today I can proudly say we are exporting to more than 20 countries and have agent partners in more than 10 nations. We will be looking for more agent partners across other parts of the world during this Labelexpo,” Sharma says.
Acme’s state-of-the-art plant
Acme Rolltech’s state-of-the-art plant, complete with advanced machinery, has played a crucial role in its growth and expansion. Its plant near Ahmedabad covers a vast land area of around 88,000 square feet, with a shop floor area of about 20,000 square feet. After investing in new machinery, Acme Rolltech’s production capacity has doubled to around 450 rolls/sleeves per month, with the ability to manufacture rolls and sleeves up to 4500 mm in size.

Sharma’s optimistic outlook on future investments signals the company’s commitment to continued growth and innovation.
Asked if the company will make further investments in the machine, Sharma says, “The way our market presence is increasing, you may hear some news. 2023 is turning out to be a bumper year for us, fingers crossed yes very soon.”
