ElitePlus++ Business Services will be organizing some important events in Mumbai in the coming months for the Indian packaging and plastics industry.

The 6th Injection, Blow Moulding & PET International Summit on 5 and 6 July 2018 will be held in Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt hotel. The 2018 summit is against the backdrop of the Make in India initiative, taking advantage of higher GDP growth and sustained polymer consumption for both industrial and consumer applications. The industry adds over 5,000 injection molding and 700 blow molding machines and these numbers will show further increase in the years ahead. Given the huge opportunities offered by the injection, blow, roto and PET molding industry, the event is a platform to showcase latest developments and offerings.

Another event being organized by ElitePlus++ Business Services in Mumbai on 4 and 5 September is the 7th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit-2018, which is dedicated to the largest converting segment of the polymer processing industry in India. Flexible packaging has consistently shown sustained growth both in the developed and the developing world. In India, the flexible packaging sector has shown an excellent performance overall. The summit provides a high-level platform to producers of raw materials, both Indian and overseas, all leading converting machinery manufactures from India, EU, South East and Far East, all major converters covering multilayer blown films, cast films, BOPP and BOPET, printing, lamination and post extrusion finishing including automation in material handling and the major end-users from food, pharma, personal care and agriculture sectors.

ElitePlus++ Business Services will also organize the 9th edition of Vinyl India-2019 International PVC Summit on 12 and 13 April in Mumbai, which will bring together approximately 850 decision makers and leaders, from across the world covering an array of experiences and representing every facet of the vinyl industry including resign manufacturers, downstream processors, machinery suppliers, technology licensors, additives, plasticisers and stabilisers suppliers, channel partners, traders and indenters, consultants, institutions and industry associations.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are grown similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.
