The Emballage World 2008 packaging exhibition will take place at NordVillepinte in Paris from 17 to 21 November 2008. Held biennially, thethirty-eighth event will focus on packages and containers, machines, equipmentand related services. The event is expected to attract more than 2000exhibitors and numerous visitors from across the globe. There is also aconcerted effort to attract Indian exhibitors and visitors as our growingeconomy and packaging industry begin to catch the world’s attention. Emballage includes some special themes, conferences, and focus areasthat are organised simultaneously within the show for the participation of allthe visitors. These include:BioMaterials area in which packaging innovations made of biomaterialsaddress current environmental issues. From 2006 to 2011, the consumption of biomaterials packaging is expectedto rise at an annual rate of 22 per cent (Intertech/ PIRA/June 2007).
Trends area located at the entrance of Hall 6, for displaying the mostoutstanding and representative new products among nearly 500 new productsannounced by exhibitors. The innovations displayed will be selected by a juryof international journalists.

The Pack. Vision Symposium which assemble key players in packageinnovation  packaging manufacturers,brands, design agencies for a program of about 20 presentations during the fivedays of the exhibition on varied themes such as eco design, biomaterials, environmentallabelling.

An art and packaging exposition that will highlight the close links andmultiple influences between art and packaging.

A Plastic Eco Design Center aimed at providing concrete assistance tocompanies for the design of plastic products with the lowest impact on theenvironment. The center will propose high value added services to anyone whohas a package design project.

A Packaging Observatory which is a unique market barometer initiated inDecember 2005 to provide recurrent strategic and economic monitoring tools onthe business prospects of the packaging related industries in France.
