Domino’s N610i integration module, based on the proven Generation 6 technology and with nearly 1,000 installations worldwide, has been designed with a simple universal interface, enabling it to be easily integrated with your preferred flexo printing press. The N610i hybrid press combines digital with analog printing and finishing capabilities such as flexo printing, die-cutting, foiling, varnishing, and laminating, all within a single efficient process.

The company has several global partners who offer a complete hybrid flexo press, with a Domino N610i integration module built-in to provide the best of both analog and digital capabilities.

The Indian market has been growing at a rapid rate. The startup ecosystem is also bolstering the need for a quick supply of labels and packaging materials to enable faster go-to-market. The brand owners are also experimenting with variants and varieties, increasing the demand for smaller quantities of packaging material and labels.

These market dynamics propelled the demand for more color digital hybrid label printing presses in India. Several traditional flexo press manufacturers felt the need to provide hybrid options to their customers. UV Graphic Technologies, based in Noida, India, was looking to build hybrid possibilities for its customers and found Domino a trusted global partner with an excellent digital inkjet printing portfolio.

Domino and UV Graphics together to fulfill the demands for digital printing solution

Established in 1990, UV Graphic Technologies began its journey in the Graphic and Printing Industry by producing UV coating and curing machines and flexographic label printing machines for slitter rewinders and LED UV systems customers around the globe.

Abhay Datta, director at UV Graphics, says, “Our primary objective is to deliver reliable equipment, quality service, and the latest technology to our valued customers in the packaging and label industry. Collaborating with Domino India will certainly help us give our customers the digital printing support of a reliable global partner.”

“We are pleased to announce our new partnership with UV Graphic Technologies and strongly believe that we would be able to help more converters adopt and equip with digital printing solutions soon,” says Ajay RaoRane, vice-president of Digital Printing Solutions for Domino India.

At Labelexpo India, UV Graphic Technologies is displaying and demonstrating their new hybrid press with built-in digital embellishment capability named ‘The Dominator’. N610i integration digital module has been built into this new hybrid press to enable digital functionality. The press on display is equipped with four flexo print stations, digital foiling, and tactile UV coating, which is in great demand. This equipment is being displayed in Hall 3, Stand F15.

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive

The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.

As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The packaging industry growth will match the GDP growth in volume terms and surpass it by at least 3% in terms of nominal growth allowing for price inflation in energy, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are grown similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

For responsible and sustainable packaging, with its attendant regulations and compliances, there is significant headroom to grow in India and the region. Our coverage includes the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and to waste collection, sorting, and recycling.

We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers. This is a large and complex canvas – the only thing that can work is your agile thinking and innovation together with our continuous learning and persistence.

The coming year looks to be an up year in this region, and this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing communication – in our rich and highly targeted business platform with human resources on the ground. Share your thoughts and plans and to inspire and mobilize our editorial and advertising teams!
