Conway Machines, a manufacturer of aftermarket gripper bars and replacement parts for the global printing and packaging industry, made its debut appearance at 16th Printpack India. The company, which specializes in high-quality, made-in-America products, showcased its expertise in cost-effective flatbed die-cutting machine components.
Speaking about the company’s focus, Johnny Margrave, account manager, Conway Machines, explained, “Rather than having a wide product range, we have concentrated on our core expertise—aftermarket gripper bars for flatbed die-cutters and essential replacement parts, including sprockets and stripping products.”
Conway Machines says it has built a strong reputation for manufacturing durable and reliable components that enhance the efficiency of flatbed die-cutting machines. The gripper bars presented at the exhibition are designed to be compatible with a wide range of die-cutters, ensuring seamless functionality and superior paper-gripping performance. This accuracy is essential for maintaining smooth die-cutting operations, reducing errors, and minimizing machine downtime.

According to the company, the sprockets and stripping products displayed at the stand were precision-crafted to offer extended durability and compatibility with various equipment models. By focusing on high-quality manufacturing, Conway Machines says it ensures its replacement parts contribute to uninterrupted production, helping businesses optimize their workflow while reducing maintenance costs.
One of the key advantages of Conway Machines is its competitive pricing. Margrave said the company’s products are 25% below the price of OEMs while maintaining the same quality.
“Our quality is the same as the OEMs but the price is 25% lower,” Margrave stated. “We provide customers with high-quality replacement parts without the premium price tag of OEM components. This allows businesses to maintain their equipment efficiently while keeping operational costs in check.”
Reflecting on their experience at Printpack, Margrave drew a comparison between the event and drupa. He expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities the exhibition presented for Conway Machines in India. “The exhibition is similar to drupa,” he remarked. “This being our first time in an exhibition in India, we were amazed by the response and the opportunity we have had to explore and understand the Indian market.”
