More than 250 industry-leading exhibitors and a big number of visitors have signed up for Labelexpo India 2022, South Asia’s leading labels and package print exhibition, taking place from 10-13 November at India Expo Mart and Center, Greater Noida.

This year’s event is packed with more unseen technology than ever before and is a great opportunity to experience the latest launches from leading industry names, including Avery Dennison, Bobst, and Monotech Systems.

Proving that digital printing has advanced from a complementary technology to a competitive one, India has adopted the conversion to digital printing quicker than anyone could have predicted.

Labelexpo India 2022 will feature demonstrations from key digital players such as HP, Konica Minolta, Esko, Epson, Domino, Pulisi, and Monotech.

The much-anticipated four-day show will feature new exhibitors, live demonstrations, and new developments in label and packaging technologies. This year’s show will have more than 250 leading exhibitors. There will be a Label Manufacturers Association of India (LMAI) Awards night on 11 November 2022 and a Digital Embellishment Trail.

The Labelexpo India team organized a roadshow at Park Plaza in Ludhiana on the evening of 14 October in association with the Offset Printer Association (OPA) to encourage regional commercial print businesses to visit the show. The event focused on business diversification opportunities in labels.

Speakers from Avery Dennison, Flexo Image Graphics, HP Indigo, and Fujifilm Sericol presented the current label industry trends. The presentations were followed by dinner and networking.

Kamal Mohan Chopra, president World Print & Communication Forum (WPCF), said, “Print businesses today need to diversify in new segments to ensure business profitability. Labels & packaging is among the fastest-growing segments in the print industry and are a fantastic opportunity for commercial printers to diversify for growth. I highly encourage everyone to attend Labelexpo India 2022 in Greater Noida and learn about new technologies in labels and package printing.”

Pradeep Saroha, Event director of Labelexpo India, said, “We are grateful for Offset Printer Association’s support for Labelexpo India, which goes back 12 years. I thank the association for making the roadshow a success. We invite all the OPA members to attend the Labelexpo India 2022 and take advantage of the unmissable opportunity for the industry to come together under one roof and reunite with industry peers to witness and be a part of the future of print technology.”

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive

The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.

As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The packaging industry growth will match the GDP growth in volume terms and surpass it by at least 3% in terms of nominal growth allowing for price inflation in energy, raw materials, consumables, and capital equipment.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels are grown similarly. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

For responsible and sustainable packaging, with its attendant regulations and compliances, there is significant headroom to grow in India and the region. Our coverage includes the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and to waste collection, sorting, and recycling.

We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers. This is a large and complex canvas – the only thing that can work is your agile thinking and innovation together with our continuous learning and persistence.

The coming year looks to be an up year in this region, and this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing communication – in our rich and highly targeted business platform with human resources on the ground. Share your thoughts and plans and to inspire and mobilize our editorial and advertising teams!
