L&E India has expanded its converting and sample-making capabilities with the acquisition of a Kongsberg V20 sample maker, formalized at Pamex 2026. L&E India, a subsidiary of L&E International, is a solutions provider to the Indian printing, packaging and converting industry.

Announcing the development at the exhibition, Pradeep Aggarwal of L&E India said the investment was driven by growing demand from converters and brand owners for faster turnaround, higher accuracy and greater flexibility in sample development. The Kongsberg V20 is expected to enable L&E India to support short runs, complex designs and rapid prototyping across a wide range of substrates, helping customers accelerate product development and time to market.

Aggarwal said the addition of the V20 aligns with L&E India’s strategy of offering value-added solutions and technical support to the packaging and printing industry. By strengthening its in-house sample-making and demonstration capabilities, the company aims to act as a more integrated partner for converters seeking to upgrade finishing and cutting operations.

Rafiq Shaikh, sales and service leader at Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, said the V20 was designed for demanding sample-making and packaging development environments, combining precision cutting, creasing and routing with robust construction and consistent output. He said the system was well suited to the Indian market, where converters increasingly require high-quality samples to meet tighter brand, design and sustainability requirements.

Shaikh added that Kongsberg’s focus extended beyond machine installation to long-term service, training and technical support, ensuring customers are able to fully utilize the system’s capabilities. He noted that partnerships with companies such as L&E India play a key role in expanding access to advanced digital cutting technology across the country.
