Printing short-run prime labels with in-line converting

Mark Andy to debut Digital One at Labelexpo Americas 2016

Mark Andy will debut Digital One, a new entry-level digital printing and converting label press designed to print short-run prime labels with in-line converting at Labelexpo Americas 2016

The standardized configuration features a web width of 13 inch (330 mm) with printing speeds reaching 63 fpm (19 mpm) on various substrates including pressure-sensitive paper and film, unsupported paper and tag stocks. The servo-driven flexo station offers capabilities to spot color, varnish, laminate, and cold foil with in-line finishing offering diecutting, stripping and slitting capabilities.

Equipped with air cooled UV LED curing and an onboard compressor, Digital One requires only a 220v single phase power source, making it an easy installation in almost any environment. It provides converters with a simple, compact solution to support the increasing demands for reduced costs, shorter delivery times and smaller run sizes, and offers the flexibility to manage job mix more efficiently, maximizing high productivity on flexo machines and resulting in more profits.

Tim Brasher, manager of business development at Mark Andy says, “Digital One will go hand-in-hand with our company’s strategic growth initiatives, providing superior, productive digital solutions to a wider range of markets and converters. This extension of our robust product line reinforces the Mark Andy commitment to being a Total Solutions Partner to the label and packaging market.”

Digital One will join a newly designed Performance Series P7, Digital Series hybrid solution along with Rotoflex HSI, VLI and VSI finishing solutions live on Stand 319 at Labelexpo Americas. Deliveries of Digital One will be as early as Decemeber 2016 in North America and to the rest of world in Q1 2017.
