This represents a 10% increase in exhibitors and net floor space since the previous record event.
A total of 6,600 visitors from 64 countries attended ICE Europe 2013, Munich to find out about the latest products and systems for the conversion of web-based materials, such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens“The continued growth of the world’s leading converting exhibition demonstrates the positive economic outlook of the industry sector and its dynamic development. There is considerable growth potential for the converting industry in the emerging markets where the demand for consumer products and flexible packaging solutions is continuously growing. In the developed markets there is an increasing demand for value-added, individually designed products and smart packaging solutions,” says Nicola Hamann, managing director of the organizers Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

For suppliers and users of materials, machines, systems and accessories for the conversion of flexible materials, an international trade show such as ICE Europe is a key driver for innovative production solutions. The exhibiting companies are presenting a comprehensive range of products for the converting industry – materials, coating and laminating, drying and curing, treatment, flexographic and rotogravure printing, control and measurement, accessories, slitting and rewinding, finishing, factory equipment, retrofits, toll coating, converting and slitting as well as specialist software.

A key feature of ICE Europe is the large number of live demonstration of machinery and systems at the individual exhibition stands. Whether biodegradable materials, enhanced coating applications, efficient slitting and rewinding technology, new printing or precise measuring systems – many novelties are presented at ICE Europe to a wider audience for the very first time.
