The Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) held multiple roadshows across India and in Bangladesh to promote the upcoming PrintPack India 2017. Promotional meets were organized in Mumbai, Pune, Guwahati and Lucknow. H.V. Sheth, president, Naveen Gupta, general secretary, and Dharmesh Arora, treasurer of IPAMA interacted with the audience during the events, which were attended by members of various printer bodies and prominent printers of each city.

During the Mumbai meet, which was held on 16 December 2016, Sheth said, “The 2015 edition of PrintPack India generated business worth US$ 290 million with a heavy footfall. We are expecting more than 1 lakh visitors to visit out 2017 edition. Sanat Shah, chairman, Manugraph, in his interaction with various fraternity members, said that manufacturers should use the platform of PrintPack India to showcase their abilities to produce superior products.

In the Pune meet, the Poona Press Owners Association (PPOA) president Raveendra Joshi welcomed IPAMA officials and the PPOA members to commemorate the completion of 100 years of PPOA’s existence. IPAMA general secretary Naveen Gupta had a lively interaction with Pune-based printers and made a PowerPoint and video presentation about PrintPack India 2017. Gupta presented comprehensive details about the facilities available for the visitors and the exhibitors.

In Lucknow, IPAMA was represented by Satish Kaushik, joint secretary (west) and Harish Bansal, member of governing council. While making his presentation, Bansal urged the gathering to attend the PrintPack fair.

IPAMA, along with the All Assam Press Owners’ Association (AAPOA), also organized a promotional meet at Guwahati’s Hotel Shoolin Grand on 24 December 2016. IPAMA’s vice president (east) Jaiveer Singh and joint secretary (north) Rakesh Sodhi were introduced to the audience by Dibyajyoti Kalita, president at AAPOA, who gave a brief about IPAMA and Printpack India 2017.

During the Bangladesh leg of the roadshow, IPAMA organized a meet at Skycity Hotel, Dhaka on 22 December, in collaboration with Bangladesh Mudran Shilpa Samity (BMSS). Md. Tofayal Khan, chairman, BMSS introduced and welcomed Sodhi to the audience consisting of BMSS members and members from the printing and packaging fraternity.
