Pune-based JRD Printpack, a part of the Manikchand Group, is a leading commercial printer which has diversified to flexible packaging and has more recently installed world-class converting equipment at its plant near Pune. Amit Dhariwal, director of JRD Printpack, says, “JRD Printpack has successfully managed to become a reputed supplier of commercial products including magazines, telecom starter kits, brochures, danglers, books and calendars for the electronic, automobile and telecom industries.We have shifted our focus from commercial printing to cartons and have recently installed a Bobst Ambition folder gluer with an online Baumer Inspection System and Novacut 106 diecutter.”

With Bobst Ambition folder-gluer the company has achieved lower makeready times. The folder-gluerruns at a maximum speed of 300 metres a minute and Novacut 106 produces 8000 sheets an hour. Moreover, the Baumer Inspection System checks duplicate imprints and printed barcodes. JRD Printpack has an array of Heidelberg and Mitsubishi machines as well as pre and postpress equipment, punching and folder-gluer machines.
