Apart from the new branding, the Konica Minolta stand is rolling out the company’s C71cf digital label press. According to Nayyar Ansari, Konica Minolta’s business development manager in the Middle East, there is a big space in the label market where the company sees an opportunity. “As much as 60% of the label jobs consist of less than 10,000 labels and this is exactly what we are going to target,” Ansari says. The big market space for a high quality label press running at 18 m a minute is perceived to be in the middle region between the table-top label machines and the very expensive webfed digital presses from the likes of HP and Xeikon.
