Strategic partnership further aligns FIG with Mark Andy

Flexo Image Graphics (FIG) will now sell Presstek solutions to the Indian market, strengthening its relationship with Mark Andy. A renowned manufacturer of digital offset printing solutions, Presstek was acquired by Mark Andy in March 2018, and has been working towards a seamless integration between the two brands and the parent company’s network of distributors.

The commercial agreement between FIG and Presstek is a big step at the international level. In addition to Mark Andy and Rotoflex equipment, FIG will sell and service Presstek DI presses. The distributor will facilitate field upgrades of existing DI presses with the latest ECO-UV curing, which uses less power than standard UV and is also available with a new or certified pre-owned DI units.

Gourav Roy, managing director, FIG shared, “Mark Andy promotes a total solutions partnership approach and FIG resonates with this as well, making Presstek the perfect addition to our fleet of solutions. As soon as I heard about the acquisition, I knew this was the right path to take for our business too.”

Unique to the Indian market, FIG sells flexo, digital, finishing and now offset technologies. While speaking to the market reception of various printing methods in a single shop, Roy stated, “The way I see it, South Asian printing companies are looking for diversification. A label printer getting involved with packaging, a packaging printer getting involved with labels, and commercial printer getting involved with labels and so on.”

Roy added, “We are number 1 in the region with our post-sale support. This has been one of the key factors of our success and source of goodwill with our customers in India.” High caliber service will carry over to Presstek users in the country and provide maximum uptime.
