At the IGAS 2015 exhibition in Tokyo, Taiyo revealed its new STF 340 narrow web flexo label press to a large number of very interested visitors including some from India. The company has hitherto been known for its letterpress label and laminated tube presses with many Indian installations.
The 13-inch wide Taiyo STF 340 which demonstrated running flexible labels at the show contained eight printing units with two rotary in-line diecutting units. The full-servo label press has options such as an auto-register system and a chilled impression cylinder. The movable cold foil system was demonstrated while the movable rotary screen system option was not demonstrated at IGAS.
