Kuraray showcases EVAL films for packaging at Plastivision
Kuraray, a world leader in the production and development of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (under the brand name EVAL), showcased its films for packaging at the recently concluded Plastivision show in Mumbai. Speaking to us, Sachin Gangal, country head - EVAL Division, said, “EVAL provides the necessary gas and migration barrier function in food, medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging and as a gas and solvent barrier in industrial, construction and automotive fuel system applications. Inaugural PDIT Conference impresses participants
The first ever Packaging Design Information Technology (PDIT) conference, held concurrently with the DrinkTech-PackTech-FoodPex Exhibition in Mumbai in December last year, was attended by stakeholders from a large number of organizations in the food processing, design, technology and healthcare sectors. It covered a wide spectrum of issues related to design and innovation, environment and sustainability, food wastage, the packaging supply chain, retail modernization and new technologies for new materials, simplified structures, digital printing and enhancement.
Arden’s Impact CAD at PrintPack India
Participating for the first time in PrintPack India, UK-based Arden Software will showcase the workflow and design tools during the five-day trade show. The company has, in just one year, successfully managed to install around 15 licenses in India. Speaking about the organization, Manish Bhaskar, director and business head – Asia, Arden Asia Pacific Software says, “Arden software is a 29-year-old company, and recently we set a base in Delhi. Debate on best-before date produces new business ideas
While one person throws it in the bin, another person is still happy to eat it. And in fact we are not talking about food in the Third World, but food in our industrial nations – food which is thrown away simply because the label says so, even though the content of the package is still edible. It’s a well-known fact that a product may have exceeded its best-before date some time ago, yet it is still perfectly harmless.
