The ice cream filler produces up to 18,000 ice cream cones an hour and features a cone dispenser capable of handling different cones and cups; an easy-to-operate chocolate sprayer; and a precise lid dispenser improving standardization.

The recent investments in new technology and plant in Haridwar are a reflection of TCPL’s continuous growth and modernization. TCPL Packaging is a publicly traded company celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. In the past two years its share price on the Bombay Stock Exchange has risen more than eight times from Rs 65 in February 2014 to a high of Rs 527 in the last week of January 2016.
Plastic packaging per capita consumption to double in five years – FICCI
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (FICCI’s) 2nd National Conference on Packaging Plastic – The Sustainable Choice held in New Delhi on 19 January 2016 was an elaborate affair witnessing the attendance of eminent people from the plastic packaging segment globally. Several students, sponsored by Sabic, were also given the opportunity to attend the conference in the national capital and learn from the industry experts first hand. While the welcome address was conducted by KK Seksaria, president, Plastindia Foundation, the inaugural session was moderated by Vinay Mathur, deputy secretary general, FICCI. Talking about the plastic industry, Mathur says, “Generally when we talk about ‘Make in India’ we tend to skip the point that ‘Make in India’ with zero defect is important and in the case of plastics it becomes even more vital.”

The Save Food initiative has welcomed Xiamen Changsu, its first member from China. The company is one of the leading manufacturers of flexible packaging and biaxially-oriented polyamide films (BOPA). A BOPA film usually serves as a barrier in packaging to prevent interaction between the content and the environment and thus ensures a longer shelf-life. The company has state-of-the-art facilities in Xiamen, Fujian Province, and will now be contributing its technical expertise and ideas to the Save Food community.
