Nextek Technologies is undertaking an ambitious project in Pune with the help of Pune Municipal Corporation, which has provided the land, to design and build a multi-functional state-of-the-art recyclable plant specific to the needs of the city of Pune, Kelvin Davies of Nextek Technologies said during the IFCA conference, which was held on 22 October at Bombay Exhibition Centre. The project will allow a greater scope of plastics to be recycled, provide a more stable price for the material provided by pickers, and meet growing industry demand for hand-sorted plastic and pellets encouraging a circular economy. Nextek is an independent consultancy that provides solutions to the challenges of plastic recycling and resource management throughout the supply chain for all applications. It has offices in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Pune, India. The Pune plant will process plastics from litter and diversion from landfill and will sort, clean, and melt the waste.
