Biopac’s new line in Silvassa

Biopac India, mainly known as a manufacturer of disposable dinnerware, has set up a new production line at its Silvassa plant for manufacturing food storage containers. The company has announced that it began commercial production of these products on 1 May 2015. “These food storage containers are manufactured in India for the first time, through the unique process of thermoforming, which gives the company the ability to do mass production at extremely low cost,” said Biopac in its 2 June 2015 BSE filing. The microwavable, deep-freezable and dishwasher safe re-usable containers are air tight with snap-fit lids. The claimed to be spill-proof food containers are to be made available in various sizes with capacities ranging from 236 ml to 2 litres.
