VK Global Digital focuses on pharmaceutical, food packaging, and liquor cartons. In the rigid box category, it focuses on luxury packaging, corporate gifting, and the FMCG sector.
Director Namit Jain, says, “We manufacture folding cartons for a variety of brands like Cipla, Dr Reddy’s, Sun Pharma, Torque, Rhydburg, Medley, Torrent, and Lupin. Our experience in packaging authentication for over a decade has given us extensive knowledge of the quality standards expected by any pharmaceutical company.”

He adds, “Hygiene is our top priority when manufacturing packaging for the pharma and medical devices segment. It is one of the most challenging and quality-conscious segments, demanding constant innovation in security design primarily utilizing Holography and Fresnel Lenses.”
Fresnel lenses comprise a microstructure of facets that reflect light like the thick lens invented by French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel for lighthouses. The benefit of Fresnel lens films applied to print substrates is that they reflect light at multiple angles providing a 3-dimensional depth and look to the product. The visual effects can be combined with holographic patterns to form hybrid designs that offer a distinctive appearance to a pack or printed substrate.
The VK Global plant manufactures specialty films with several holographic effects that can be transferred from the carrier film to the board, and the film is sent to its waste and recycling stream. Jain explains that the metallic effect transferred to the board from the carrier film is 100% biodegradable and without any traces of polymer. The cartons can be pulped in normal paperboard waste streams.
