Ahmedabad-headquartered Astron Packaging has upgraded its label post-press division with the installation of a new Rhyguan TOP-330 multi-functional label die-cutting machine for in-mold labels (IML). The latest Rhyguan TOP-330 at Astron is the third such machine supplied by FIG at the company’s Ahmedabad packaging and label plant already equipped with two Rhyguan SMART-330 inspection systems with Lustre cameras. FIG has also supplied and delivered a Rhyguan TOP-330-Plus-2 semi-rotary flexo and die-cutting machine to Astron’s Dubai plant.
Gourav Roy, managing director of Flexo Image Graphics, says, “Astron has been one of our longstanding valued customers. We are proud to have partnered with them for years and their repeat purchases of Rhyguan machines strongly suggest their trust, satisfaction, and loyalty in us. After all, it’s a positive testament to the quality and value of products and service we provide them.”
According to Roy, the new Rhyguan TOP-330 at Astron’s Ahmedabad facility is a great rotary die-cutting solution for label convertors who need productivity and versatility. He says it is an ideal entry-level solution for IML processing and production, as users of this machine can shift from full rotary to semi rotary, providing quality die-cutting of film materials in small quantities.
As an efficient die-cutting solution, Rhyguan TOP-330 with advanced features and capabilities, has a maximum web width of 330mm capable of running at a maximum die-cutting speed of 110 meters a minute in full rotary mode, and at 60 meters a minute in semi-rotary mode.
Niraj Darji, president of Astron Packaging, says the latest Rhyguan TOP-330 multi-function label die-cutting machine is superb in terms of precision and productivity. He further states that every Rhyguan machine they have bought so far from FIG is cost effective, easy to use, and highly impactful and efficient for finishing and converting of in-mold labels.
Since its inception in 2002, Astron has been working for clients in diverse industries including cold chain supplies for farm produce, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG. The company began its labelling and folding carton unit in 2008, regularly upgraded with various printing and converting equipment including the Rhyguan TOP-330, Mark Andy narrow web flexo printing presses, Rotoflex slitter rewinder, and the Presstek digital offset printing press supplied by FIG with its head office in Delhi and branches in Mumbai and Chennai.
