Visitor registration is now open for Asia’s largest and most anticipated label and package printing technology event. Labelexpo Asia, the trade exhibition which will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC)

At Labelexpo Europe this year, Bobst will have the largest exhibit, featuring equipment in operation, engaging presentations, and connectivity displays.

Among the top packaging converters in Pakistan, privately-owned Saima Packaging is home to top-flight equipment for printing flexible materials including, most recently, a Bobst RS 4003MP gravure press which has cut make-ready times and reduced waste. The 8-color Bobst RS 4003MP installed last year at Saima Packaging’s flexible packaging production facility in Karachi, Pakistan, features technical solutions for automation and reduced waste that enable it to be operated profitably with any mix of print job lengths, from short to long run production.

Bobst recently organized a vacuum metallizing and coating innovations seminar at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. Attended by more than 80 flexible packaging converters and suppliers, the seminar showcased Bobst’s innovations in the field of vacuum metallizing and coating.

Packaging industry insiders have been reading about Bobst events in Asia, including a recent event in Malaysia. It was only a matter of time before Bobst held a knowledge event in the national capital of India on 21 April 2017. The event was well attended mostly by flexible packaging converters and by some brand owners and raw material suppliers.

The Artize Die Makers stand at PrintPack 2017 was buzzing with activity all through the 5 days of the event as Mukul Luthra was busy attending to customer queries at their stand. “We have introduced our pre-rubberized dies and male-female stripping tools at this event; these are utilized on automatic diecutting machines like Bobst, Maxima, etc. Our pre-rubberized dies help increase the efficiency of an automatic diecutter. We have also introduced a substitute for Matrix—the Pertinex Counter Plate—which brings down the makeready time on the press from 2 hours to 15 minutes. This means in case of a couple of changeovers in a day, one can save almost half a shift and thereby increase machine efficiency by half a shift,” said Luthra.

Soft-spoken and knowledgeable, Manish Munot first visited the K exhibition in Dusseldorf in 2003 where he saw an array of high-tech presses including the Bobst F&K CI flexo press, which seemed at the time the stuff of dreams for a relatively new packaging company. At the recent K event in Dusseldorf in October 2016, Vardhaman Polyfims was able to take an important step in realizing its ambitious plans as Manish signed up for a Bobst F&K 20SIX 8-color CI flexo press. The 400 m/min  press will arrive in Ahmednagar in March for installation and commissioning by May 2017.
