Global Graphics to show Fundamentals at Labelexpo Americas
A new software and engineering service for labels and packaging presses will be on show at Labelexpo Americas (Stand 6455) following the success of its introduction at drupa by Global Graphics Software. Called Fundamentals, the service provides inkjet press manufacturers with a single source for the key software components and engineering know how that are essential to building a digital front end to drive a press. The goal is to help reduce time to market and engineering costs by breaking through the common barriers that prevent manufacturers from getting out to market on time and on budget.

At drupa 2016, GlobalVision, a world leader in the development of innovative proofreading technologies demonstrated for the first time the integration of its Quality Control Platform into Esko’s Automation Engine 16. Embedding GlobalVision’s Quality Control Platform within Esko’s Automation Engine provides an all-in-one quality assurance solution that runs as a background process and results in an annotated and viewable design file within Automation Engine. This further enables rapid and systematic review of all detected packaging and labelling errors throughout the workflow, from upstream design to print.

At the DuPont stand at drupa there were a great number of solutions including digital inks, textile printing, flexo imaging, processing and plate materials and anti-counterfeiting technologies. We focussed on the flexo plate and security solutions in our brief time at the stand. We were on our way for a second visit to the stand on 6 June when there was a disruption that prevented access to halls 8A and 8B for a few hours.
