At the Esko stand at IndiaCorr Expo 2017, Eric Miller, president, APAC, Esko, was busy interacting with customers. Packaging South Asia caught up with him to seek his views

Esko, headquartered in Ghent (Belgium), manages packaging and print processes for brand owners, retailers, designers, premedia and trade shops, packaging manufacturers and converters.

Esko recently hosted the Flexible Packaging Honours Class, an initiative of the Graphical and Digital Media department of the Artevelde University College Ghent.

Recently, Esko shared its flexo technological know-how and market insights driven by trends such as shorter print runs, design versioning and shorter time to market during a well-attended and informative Flexo Innovation Day held at Ghent, Belgium. During the event, Esko also presented its broad portfolio of workflow automation and platemaking solutions. Esko continues to pioneer and lead the flexo platemaking industry with solutions to automate the process and improve the flexo print quality.

Esko, a global supplier of integrated solutions for the packaging, labels, sign and display, commercial printing and publishing industries, displayed a range of software and series of Kongsberg hardware table at the PrintPack exhibition. Arnab Maiti, sales director – South Asia, Esko said, “We have software for all kinds of packaging and printing works, be it offset, flexo or gravure, which we displayed at our stand. In addition, we also marked our presence at the show through our partners like Technova and Malhotra Graphics. While Technova is primarily working in the folding carton segment and displayed the XE10 Kongsberg table and software at the show,  Malhotra Graphics is one of our dealers for the flexo graphics segment.”

Navi Mumbai-based Rukson Packaging has undergone a major transformation from offset printer to becoming a complete packaging solutions provider. Recently, the company equipped its prepress unit with Esko's Kongsberg XE10 sample maker and Esko’s prepress workflow. Rukson specializes in met-pet folding box cartons and its product mix includes a large share of cartons for the pharmaceutical segment.
